Roma have released a statement following the two-day long Twitter rant of renowned football agent Bayram Tutumlu. The Turkish agent, who is a close friend of former sporting director Monchi, has been on a 48-hour crusade against the Giallorossi on his official account and has levied attacks against president James Pallotta, adviser Franco Baldini and sporting director Gianluca Petrachi. Here is the official note of Roma:
“AS Roma has noted the increasingly bizarre claims being made in recent days by Mr Bayram Tutumlu on Twitter. In light of these comments, the club is intrigued to ask what role and/or interest Mr Tutumlu had or has in the transfer dealings for Robin Olsen.”
“The club is now forced to look back on past dealings to try and find some occasion where Mr. Tutumlu was involved, in a declared capacity or otherwise, with any transfer business involving Roma.”
