What seemed like an unattainable goal just a few weeks ago is now a reality.

Roma beat Verona to finish the season in third place, thus securing qualification for next season’s Champions League.

This achievement makes the Giallorossi’s season finale unforgettable and opens up new horizons for the future.

Beyond the sporting satisfaction, the club must also consider a goal that brings in millions upon millions of dollars for Roma.

The financial gain from qualification alone is significant, and to this must be added the various revenues and prizes.

The first portion of the revenue comes from the sum UEFA allocates to each team participating in the Champions League. This amount is determined through a special distribution system that takes into account participation fees, historical rankings, European results, and the television market pool. According to Calcio e Finanza estimates,

Roma is looking at approximately €43.5 million in guaranteed minimum revenue.

This is a substantial difference compared to the €14.7 million they would have received for qualifying for the Europa League. It’s worth noting that the Giallorossi have the highest earnings among the Serie A clubs competing for the bottom spots, thanks to their win in the Conference and the final in Budapest.
