Roma continue their search for an additional defender but given the club’s lack of interest in free agents still available on the market, the Giallorossi seem to be inclined in resuming their pursuit of a centre-back in January following the World Cup.
As reported in Football Transfers, Roma are leading the race for Chelsea’s Trevor Chalobah who is yet to make in impact at Stamford Bridge this year.
The player had been linked with various clubs over the summer but a temporary decision was made to keep him at the orders of ex-coach Thomas Tuchel.
Chalobah, however, insists on getting more playing time, a wish he has not been granted so far in London.
Roma are reportedly willing to sign him on loan in the winter transfer window as Chelsea refuse to sell the 23-year-old defender.
