Roma have shifted their attention to the names of Lorenzo Pellegrini and Grégoire Defrel of Sassuolo.
Today, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, there was meeting today at Trigoria between Roma sporting director Massara and Sassuolo director Angelozzi to discuss the operation.
Regarding Defrel, for now, the amount requested from Sassuolo is too high, while for Pellegrini, disregarding Roma’s option to repurchase the player for €10 million in the summer, Sassuolo does not seem willing to let the player leave as early as January. The parties will return to talk about Pellegrini later but will speak again about Defrel with a different mindset as Roma view him as a perfect replacement for Salah.
