Roma are reportedly evaluating in positive terms the chance of extending Jose Mourinho’s stay in the capital.

The Giallorossi have famously postponed all discussions regarding Mourinho’s contractual situation until the new year with the hope of establishing a clearer vision for the team’s progress throughout the season, including their real chances of qualifying to next year’s Champions League.

However, according to Corriere dello Sport, the club’s recent decision to back the Special One in his comments directed at the Italian Referees Association and support him with a legale defense which will be presented to the FIGC in the coming days, is further proof that Roma are open to the idea of Mourinho staying on.

Roma President Dan Friedkin is carefully evaluating the situation ahead of the New Year, a time during which more developments are expected to take place with regards to the Special One’s future in Rome.
