Roma have reportedly put their sights on Bologna midfielder Giovanni Fabbian.

The 21-year-old is being monitored by Roma who are said to have shown interest in him over recent weeks, as reported in today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Despite his permanent transfer to Bologna a year ago, Inter still hold a buy-back option on the young midfielder.

Inter could exercise the buy-back option for €12 million.

However, the newspaper claims that Inter do not plan on keeping the Italian player – the Nerazzurri want to sell him in order to generate enough revenue to be able to afford the signing of Joshua Zirkzee.

Thus, Roma would be looking at a figure higher than €12 million to potentially sign Fabbian this coming summer.

Fabbian has scored 2 goals in 22 appearances for Thiago Motta’s team this season.
