Roma are still rumored to be a valid option for free agent Paulo Dybala as the Argentine’s talks with Inter have come to a halt over the last few days.
According to La Repubblica, Inter’s hesitance to sign the former Juve man has motivated the 28-year-old to look for options abroad, with Spain being his preferred destination.
The Italian newspaper claims that Atletico Madrid are now favorites in the race for Dybala as Simeone team are set to compete in the Champions League and can satisfy his financial demands.
If Dybala were to stay in Italy, AC Milan and Napoli are not considered valid options anymore for the ex-Palermo attacker.
On the other hand, Roma are still considered to be an attractive destination for the veteran player, although the club have yet to formulate an official offer.
After Roma legend Francesco Totti tried to convince him to join the Giallorossi earlier in the summer, the club’s long-term project and Jose Mourinho may spur Dybala to rethink his options, reports La Repubblica.
