Roma still in race for Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah

Roma are among the several teams interested in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah who is looking for consistent playing time outside of Stamford Bridge given Kalidou Koulibaly’s recent signing with the club and the imminent transfer of Wesley Fofana effectively pushing Chalobah to the margins of Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

According to London Evening Standard, the 23-year-old centre-back is currently evaluating options in England and abroad.

In the Premier League, Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspurs have shown interest in Chalobah, whereas in Italy the player has caught the attention of Inter and Roma. Both Italian clubs are looking for an additional defensive option.

Inter have been strongly linked with Lazio player Francesco Acerbi which might force them to pull out of the race for Chalobah leaving Roma and Spurs as the only options.
