Italian transfer website calciomercato.com has reported that Roma continue to push to acquire Bologna right back Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Reportedly, there has been a surge in phone contact between Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi and current Bologna and former Roma director Walter Sabatini regarding the Japanese defender.

The Giallorossi would be willing to include defender Juan Jesus and midfielder Alessio Riccardi into the deal plus €1.5 million in cash.

Roma are keen to revamp the right back position this summer after boss Paulo Fonseca has not found a suitable first choice name for the role.

Leonardo Spinazzola, Bruno Peres, Davide Zappacosta, Alessandro Florenzi, and Davide Santon have all played at right back throughout the season, however, no one has been able to cement their place as the Portuguese manager’s favorite.
