Roma still on Verdi

Today’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport has reported that Roma remain hot on the track that leads to Bologna attacker Simone Verdi.

Reportedly, Roma’s sporting director, Monchi, is aware that Napoli have yet to finalise the operation for the Verdi. Roma like the profile of Verdi and could potentially offer the player the option of being a first choice player while Verdi would certainly not start ahead of Insigne, Mertens, or Callejon at Napoli. Given Verdi’s potential price tag, his age, and his current wages (€1 million net): Verdi is an intriguing name and Roma will try until the very end.
