Despite a historically bad start to the season, Roma supporters showed up to a packed Stadio Olimpico in last night’s win over Frosinone.
The Giallorossi were faced with a must-win game at the Olimpico following their shocking defeat to Genoa which resulted in Roma earning only 5 points in the opening 6 games of the season.
However, as evidenced by Il Tempo, the supporters of the capital club are not ready to give up on Jose Mourinho just yet.
The fans have grown to appreciate the Special One’s leadership and remain thankful for the manager’s role in helping deliver the club’s first European title.
In fact, Mourinho’s name – which was read out loud prior to kick-off along with the names of the starting eleven – was met with loud chants in his favor and a standing ovation; a display meant to solidify a very close relationship between manager and fans.
