Roma taking their time for Nzonzi

John Solano
I

The primary objective of Roma remains Steven N’Zonzi, but the deal, for now, has yet to take off. Today at 19:30 (Italian time), Monchi will speak from Boston and won’t likely tell of positive updates for the purchase of the French median. Meanwhile, even yesterday a cautious pessimism continued to spread about the possibility of re-embracing N’Zonzi in Trigoria, according to Il Tempo. The problem are his wages, the World Cup champion has asked for €4.5 million net per season, a figure too high for Roma. Although he is asking for a lot, it seems that, at the moment, he does not currently have such a high offer in hand. Arsenal are thinking about him but there is only a week to complete the deal, while PSG could insert themselves if Rabiot joins Barcelona. Monchi does not want to participate in an auction and he is convinced he can sell Gonalons by the end of the market, but in the meantime, he is reflecting on the alternatives.
