It’s now a matter of hours before Tony D’Amico’s official arrival at Roma.

The Giallorossi released Massara on May 29th: “AS Roma announces the mutual termination of the contract with Sporting Director Frederic Massara. The Club thanks Frederic for his professionalism, dedication, and contribution throughout the season.”

The next step will be the announcement of the arrival of the former sporting director of Atalanta, the club that slowed the deal’s progress.

D’Amico will have to work on several fronts: from the contract renewals of Dybala, Pellegrini, and Celik to the sales that must be completed by June 30th to reach the right capital gains figure, thus complying with the settlement agreement with UEFA.

It will be up to the Friedkins and Tony D’Amico to satisfy Gian Piero Gasperini’s transfer requests. The Grugliasco-born coach has his eye on several attacking wingers who will need to strengthen his squad.

As Il Messaggero reports, tomorrow should be the day for the former Atalanta sporting director to announce his arrival in Rome.

This will be followed by the announcement from medical director Del Vescovo, given that Petrucci has already been relieved of his duties.
