RomaPress – Roma will officially unveil New Balance as their new kit manufacturer in the coming weeks.
As RomaPress exclusively reported last month, the Giallorossi struck a deal with the American sportswear manufacturer in late November after they engaged in multiple negotiations, which included Adidas, Under Armour, and Castore. Multiple Italian outlets reported two weeks ago that Roma also held talks with Reebok, but this was never the case.
Roma COO, Francesco Calvo, led the club’s search for a new manufacturer after they mutually agreed with Nike to prematurely terminate their agreement following the completion of this season.
Roma and New Balance inked a three-year deal worth €4 million annually (including bonuses), which is lower than what they were earning with Nike. Despite the smaller figure, though, the club will earn a significantly higher percentage from consumer sales.
