Roma to announce new sporting director in February

Andy Mattioli

Roma have began planning a major revolution within the club’s management.

As General Manager Tiago Pinto is set to leave the Giallorossi in a few weeks’ time given the expiry of his 3-year contract, the club are in talks to appoint a new sporting director in his place.

As of right now, Roma are keeping their sporting director search under wraps, with the intention of officially announcing the new executive after Pinto’s departure in the first week of February, reports La Repubblica.

Roma will then shift their attention to Mourinho’s contractual situation – the capital club do not seem convinced of extending the Special One’s deal and are likely to part ways with him at the end of the season.
