Roma to anticipate Davide Frattesi’s signing in January

Andy Mattioli

Roma are pushing to sign long-time target Davide Frattesi already in January.

The capital club are at work to secure a deal for Frattesi as the Giallorossi seek mid-season reinforcements for Jose Mourinho.

With the imminent return of Gini Wijnaldum and the integration of Primavera youngster Benjamin Tahirovic, the Giallorossi want to broaden Mourinho’s midfield options for the second half of the season.

According to Il Tempo, Roma are planning to meet with Sassuolo several times this week in order to find an agreement for January. The deal could involve the permanent sales of Edoardo Bove and Cristian Volpato (both with buyback options), which in turn would help lower Frattesi’s pricetag to less than €15 million.
