Roma want to reward Mile Svilar’s growth with a new contract for the 25-year-old goal-keeper.

With the start of the new season, Svilar was finally given the chance to be Roma’s undisputed starting shot-stopper with Matthew Ryan as his back-up.

Despite Roma’s underwhelming start in these first three matchdays, Svilar has continued to show a great level of maturity, providing Roma with key saves in crucial moments.

According to today’s report by Corriere dello Sport, Roma intend to begin negotiations shortly for the renewal of the player’s contract.

Svilar has a contract expiring in 2027 and one of the lowest salaries on the roster, certainly the lowest among the starters.

Therefore, the first thing Roma intend to do is to give him a salary boost in order to persuade him to extend his stay in the capital.

The possible new wages might see him earn double his current salary.
