Roma have officially parted ways with Jose Mourinho after two and a half years.

The Portuguese technician visited the club’s training facilities and offices one last time along with his staff before departing the Italian capital.

In his place, Roma have appointed Daniele De Rossi until the end of the season with no option to extend the contract any further.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma will not have to pay a fine after sacking Mourinho mid-season.

The Friedkins will simply have to cover the remaining salary of the Portuguese coach which will amount to around €3-3.5 million as his contract was supposed to expire on 30 June 2024.
