Roma to discuss Diawara’s future before window closes

Amadou Diawara of AS Roma

Roma are set to meet with Amadou Diawara in the coming days to discuss his future in the capital, reports Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport.

The player wants to stay, whereas the club are pushing for an exit on the part of the 24-year-old.

Upon his return from AFCON, Diawara will meet with Tiago Pinto who wants to communicate to the midfielder Roma’s decision to move on from him. The meeting is expected to be held between Thursday and Friday.

Several teams in Serie A are interested in the ex-Napoli man, including Venezia, Cagliari and Sampdoria. From abroad, Valencia are still considering him as an alternative to Wass.
