The excellent rapport between Jose Mourinho and Dan Friedkin as well as General Manager Tiago Pinto has prompted the capital club’s management to pursue a contract extension for the Special One, reports Corriere dello Sport.
In fact, no official negotiations have been held yet, but the club plan to soon enter talks with Mourinho and his entourage to discuss the possibility of extending his contract until 2025.
Mourinho has been given certain guarantees regarding the team’s level of competitiveness in the coming years that have motivated the Portuguese technician to consider the option of extending his stay in the Italian capital beyond his current contract expiry date.
The Special One is reportedly willing to hold talks and discuss the particulars of an eventual deal as soon as during the World Cup break, with the hope of reaching an agreement before the end of the season.
