Nicola Zalewski’s emergence in Leonardo Spinazzola’s absence gave Roma a huge boost to the second half of their campaign with the Polish international imposing himself on the left flank and featuring in the Conference League final.
According to Il Tempo, Zalewski recently signed a deal that would tie him to the capital club until 2025.
However, at the moment the young fullback earns less than €500,000, a figure deemed not enough given Zalewski’s contribution and Mourinho’s reliance on him.
Thus, the Giallorossi will evaluate a wage increase for Zalewski in the coming weeks.
The club are expected to discuss this matter further with the player’s entourage.
