La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported today that Franco Baldini, the ex-Tottenham and Roma director, will play an influential role for the Giallorossi this summer.
Reportedly, Baldini, who is currently an advisor for Roma and is very close to current president James Pallotta, will be one of the main protagonists for the summer transfer window.
The 59 year-old has been tasked with trying to find ways to help alleviate Roma’s enormous wage bill by trying to find suitors for the likes of Javier Pastore, Federico Fazio, Juan Jesus, Alessandro Florenzi, Maxime Gonalons and Rick Karsdorp.
Meanwhile, the club will also utilise Baldini’s familiarity and expertise with the Premier League. Roma hope he can help spearhead negotiations for names such as Pedro, Moise Kean, Dejan Lovren, Jan Vertonghen, and Angel Gomes.
