Alvaro Morata has become a target for Roma in this summer window.

The Spanish striker has been linked with an exit from Atletico Madrid after being faced with limited playing time and lack of confidence from manager Diego Simeone.

Morata’s entourage have been looking for a new club to join.

The player’s preferred destination remains Serie A given his familiarity with Italy and the country’s top flight from his playing days at Juventus.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Roma are interested in Morata given his experience and veteran status.

The Giallorossi are set to meet with Morata’s entourage to understand the margins of the negotiation that could lead to his signing.

Daniele De Rossi is said to be a big admirer of Morata’s and considers him a valuable piece to the locker room.

The meeting will also serve to clarify Atletico’s demands in addition to Morata’s own salary requests.
