Roma are after Genoa striker and Italy international Mateo Retegui.
The Giallorossi have joined Fiorentina in the race for the 25-year-old forward, reports Sky Sport.
According to the sports network, Roma are currently leading the race and may soon submit their first offer for Retegui.
The capital club are in fact in the process of getting rid of the likes of Andrea Belotti and Tammy Abraham.
Retegui would come in as a replacement.
Sky Sport reports that Roma are willing to include technical counterparts in the form of Primavera players in their offer to Genoa.
The Grifoni would be free to choose among a list of players Roma would make available to them.
The club will also have to come up with some cash as Genoa insist on a total €30 million fee.
