Roma are not giving up on their pursuit of West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca.
The Italian attacker is the capital club’s number one priority to replace injured Tammy Abraham in the upcoming campaign.
However, talks with West Ham proved more difficult than the Giallorossi initially expected.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are set to meet with the reigning Conference League winners early on next week.
The club want to inquire about the possibility of signing Scamacca on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. So far, West Ham have refused any temporary deals for the ex-Sassuolo man.
Otherwise, Roma could also offer to include an obligation based on several criteria such as number of appearances made and goals scored.
