Roma are hard at work to thin their roster and offload many of the players they’ve deemed surplus to requirements.
Two players that certainly won’t be leaving the Italian capital this summer are versatile midfielder, Bryan Cristante, and central defender, Gianluca Mancini.
Since joining Roma in 2018 and 2019, respectively, the Italian duo have emerged as crucial pieces both on and off the pitch. As a result, the Giallorossi are eager to keen to keep the pair at the club.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, a meeting is expected to be held in the coming days between Giuseppe Riso, the agent of both Mancini and Cristante, and Roma executive Tiago Pinto. The contracts of both players expire in 2024, but the parties are determined to extend the agreements.
Coincidentally, Riso also represents Atalanta shot-stopper Pierluigi Gollini. The 26 year-old has long been linked with a move to Roma, but it remains to be seen if he will be discussed during the summit.
