Roma continue to work on summer signings with Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi being the club’s priority for the midfield.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma are set to meet with Frattesi’s entourage next week.
The meeting will help accelerate the deal with the Neroverdi, as they continue to demand €30 million for the Italian midfielder.
The capital club still hold 30% of Frattesi’s future sale value, which inevitably will help push the deal forward. Di Marzio reports that this could mean the Giallorossi could end up paying less than €20 million for the 22-year-old.
Sassuolo could also accept a counter-part: initially the Neroverdi requested Edoardo Bove, but so far Roma and Jose Mourinho haven’t approved of it.
