It has only been two months since he arrived, but Chris Smalling has already convinced Roma. Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo reports that there will be a meeting in the coming hours between Roma and Manchester United to try and establish a price for a permanent move for the Englishman. Smalling joined the Giallorossi on a dry loan in the final days of the transfer window and has performed superbly since joining Roma.
Smalling has made five appearances in all competitions and has been at the top of Paulo Fonseca’s central defender hierarchy alongside Italian international Gianluca Mancini.
