Roma are keeping their eyes peeled for an additional centreback for Daniele De Rossi’s squad.

The capital club are yet to decide on the future of Marash Kumbulla and Chris Smalling.

The two defenders have not given De Rossi any guarantees ahead of next season and the technician, in his summer shortlist, included the request for one more centreback.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, in today’s friendly with Toulouse, De Rossi will observe an opponent that could help Roma’s cause.

The newspaper argues that Roma are set to monitor the 19-year-old defender Christian Mawissa, for whom Ghisolfi has asked for information earlier in the month.

The Giallorossi are keen on the youngster and have him listed among the several options to strengthen the defense.
