Roma are reportedly considering a management position for former Giallorossi player and UEFA director Zbigniew Boniek.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Boniek has grown very close with Roma owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin.

The Polish director met with them on several occasions and continues to be a close acquaintance.

In fact, the Italian newspaper claims the Friedkins could advance a proposal for Boniek to take it upon himself and embrace a top management position along General Manager Tiago Pinto.

Boniek would act as an external consultant and Mourinho’s right hand-man in handling media relations, which is what the Portuguese technician specifically asked the club for.
