Roma are reportedly eyeing Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic who is currently on international duty with Serbia’s national team at the World Cup.

Lukic – who had been linked with Roma in the past summer window – is nearing an exit from Torino after a falling out with the club’s management. Moreover, the player is rumored to be nearing a switch to another agency, further indicating his intention to leave the Granata.

According to calciomercato.com, Roma are the club to have expressed most interest in Lukic. Mourinho wants an additional midfielder at his orders as soon as possible, and as a result, Tiago Pinto has reportedly inquired about Lukic.

Torino’s asking price is of around €15 million – a sum which Roma are able to spend in January, but could include one or two counterparts which Torino have asked for in previous transfer windows including Marash Kumbulla and Eldor Shomurodov. Both players are in search of increased playing time and could be involved in a deal for Lukic.

The two clubs have held preliminary discussions which could soon develop into concrete negotiations as the transfer window edges closer.
