Roma to present definitive project for new stadium in February

Andy Mattioli

Roma continue to work on the complex and challenging project of building their own new stadium.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, more developments are expected to follow shortly with regards to the progress made by the club in their talks with the local authorities.

In the months of September and October, the Public Debate took place, at the end of which two documents were drawn up: the first is a summary of the main observations that emerged during the debate, while the second is edited by Roma Capitale, who has taken note of the summary of the themes that emerged during the Public Debate and will have to take a position and counter-deduce, after the presentation of the final project, evaluating which will be the correct observations to explore further.

This document will be taken into serious consideration by the Region regarding the assessment of the environmental impact of the work and also by the Municipality of Rome, for any requirements and modifications.

The newspaper adds that the last step before final approval will then be the convening of the decision-making Services Conference, with the assessment of the Environmental Impact, all problems relating to the urban planning part and the detailed examination of the definitive project.

Roma will present the definitive project within the end of February.
