After being linked with him earlier in the summer, Roma are reportedly still interested in Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar. The player’s contract with the French giants is set to expire next year and Aouar is pushing to leave the club already in the January window.
That is why calciomercato.com reports that the Giallorossi are ready to resume contact with the player’s entourage in the coming weeks.
General Manager Tiago Pinto is working on setting up a meeting with Aouar’s agent as soon as possible as the midfielder has drawn the interest of other European clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Real Betis.
Pinto intends to personally meet with Aouar’s entourage and assess the player’s availability for the winter transfer window in order to further strengthen Jose Mourinho’s roster.
