Roma are going all-in on Mile Svilar as their first-choice goalkeeper of the future.
Svilar’s emergence under Daniele De Rossi prompted the Giallorossi to dismiss the idea of investing heavily in a starting shot-stopper in the summer.
Instead, the Giallorossi want to ward off any interest for Svilar from abroad by offering the 25-year-old a new long-term contract.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Roma have made Svilar’s renewal a priority.
The Serbian goalie is expected to pen a new deal until 2029 with higher wages.
The player’s current salary of 700.000Â euros will be consequently boosted in accordance with the player’s importance to the club’s project.
This would guarantee his stay in the capital for years to come.
In their evaluations for the summer, Roma made it clear that Svilar is not for sale.
The capital club, in fact, will not contemplate any offers coming their way – ‘Svilar is here to stay’ is Roma’s message.
