Roma are in talks to send young attacker Joao Costa to the Saudi Pro League.
The 19 year-old has been linked with several clubs this summer, notably in Portugal and Brazil—however, he’s reportedly nearing a transfer switch to Saudi Arabia.
According to Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo, Roma are nearing an agreement with Al Ettifaq for the youngster’s permanent transfer. Barring any last-minute hiccups, the deal is expected to close in the coming hours with Costa set to join Steven Gerrard’s side very soon.
Costa joined the Giallorossi in September 2021 after spending time in the youth sector of Palmeiras and Corinthians. He made his senior debut for Roma last year—coming on as a substitute in the team’s 2-0 loss to Sparta Prague in the Europa League.
