Artme Dovbyk and Evan Ferguson’s poor start to the season has resulted in Roma struggling to score.

Without the output of the likes of Matias Soule and Paulo Dybala, Roma would be lost at sea now.

As a result, La Repubblica claims that discussions within the club are already taking place with regards to the improvement of the team during the month of January.

More specifically, the Giallorossi management want to try and gift Joshua Zirkzee of Manchester United to Gasperini.

The Dutch striker is eager for more playing time and is one of Gasperini’s favorite profiles to strengthen Roma’s attack.

Roma would only sign him on loan; the Friedkins are willing to pay six months’ salary (half of the €3.5 million he earns in Manchester), and the Dutchman wants to play so as not to miss the World Cup.

If a team with more funds doesn’t seek him, and therefore no one approaches United to discuss his transfer, Roma is ready, but on loan.
