Roma trying to off-load Spinazzola at all costs

Andy Mattioli

Roma are eager to part ways with Leonardo Spinazzola before the expiry of his contract.

The Italian fullback’s underwhelming performances and mediocre output have prompted the club to urge Spinazzola’s agent to evaluate any incoming offers in January.

According to Il Tempo, Spinazzola – whose deal with Roma is set to run out in June – has drawn interest from Galatasaray and Saudi Arabia, but so far no concrete offers have arrived at the player’s doorstep.

Roma, on the other hand, are pushing for his exit – Spinazzola’s departure would not only rid the club of his considerable wages but also free up the Giallorossi’s UEFA list and enable them to invest in one more signing after securing the loan for Dean Huijsen.

The club are hoping for at least one among Spinazzola, Celik and Renato Sanches to depart the Italian capital in the coming weeks.
