Roma have launched the search for a suitable replacement of Romelu Lukaku who is expected to leave the club and return to Chelsea.

Without Champions League football, however, Roma will have to lower their parameters for an important investment up front.

Players like Jonathan David and Federico Chiesa are likely to be out of reach for the Giallorossi at the moment.

Thus, Leggo reports that Roma have turned their attention to AZ Alkmaar’s Vangelis Pavlidis who scored 80 goals in three seasons in the Dutch league and is also appreciated by Bologna.

Pavlidis’ pricetag is affordable for Roma’s standards given the 2025 deadline on his current deal with Alkmaar: €18 million.
