Reports of a violent ambush in the aftermath of Roma-Empoli have now spread on a nation-wide scale as Italian media claim Red Star hooligans have severely injured some Roma ultras on Saturday night.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, forty Red Star Belgrade hooligans travelled from Milan to the capital in order to ambush a group of Roma ultras as they were exiting the Stadio Olimpico following the Giallorossi’s victory over Empoli.

The hooligans were rumored to act on behalf of Napoli ultras in order to steal the Fedayn banners. Two Roma ultras were sent to hospital with injuries.

Inter’s Curva Nord condemned the attack earlier on Sunday.
