Despite whispers of a possible summer exit, Nicola Zalewski is unlikely to depart the capital.
In recent weeks, Zalewski’s name had been mentioned with other players destined to leave the club in order to generate enough revenue as requested by UEFA’s Financial Fair Play settlement agreement.
However, Corriere dello Sport reports that Jose Mourinho wants to continue working with the Polish fullback despite the player underperformed in his second season with Roma’s first team.
Zalewski is expected to be back for preseason training with the goal of convincing Mourinho and Roma’s top management to continue relying on him as a starter.
