Roma-Valencia remain engaged in talks for Florenzi

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Roma captain Alessandro Florenzi is edging closer to a January exit.

Although it may be difficult for both parties, it appears as if the Giallorossi skipper is nearing a permanent move away from the Italian capital. Unimpressive performances this season have seen him fall down in Paulo Fonseca’s pecking order and given that he wants to ensure his roster spot for the Euro 2020 this summer, Florenzi is closing in on a divorce with his boyhood club.

The Spanish side would like to bring Florenzi on loan with an obligation to buy linked to Champions League qualification.

Florenzi himself would like a permanent transfer or ensure that the obligation to buy can be fulfilled easily. Alessandro Lucci, his agent, Roma, and Valencia continue to negotiate.
