Roma vs. Cremonese: Predicted Formations

Just over twenty-four hours remain until Roma make their home debut this season, hosting Cremonese at the Stadio Olimpico.

Jose Mourinho’s side will face the newly promoted side in front of a packed stadium after the capital club announced that tickets for the match had sold-out.

Mourinho is expected to field the same starting eleven that defeated Salernitana 1-0 last weekend in Campana. The only major question mark is in midfield: there’s a possibility newly acquired Gini Wijnaldum could make his first start in the middle alongside captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.

As for Cremonese, manager Massimiliano Alvini will be forced to deal with the absence of suspended midfielder Gonzalo Escalante following his red card during last weekend’s loss to Fiorentina. He’s expected to be replaced by Santiago Ascacibar.

Finally, David Okereke and Cyriel Dessers will pair in attack with Luca Zanimacchia deployed as trequartista.
