Roma are serious in their pursuit of Manchester City fullback Sergio Gomez.
The 23-year-old is one of the players Roma have been monitoring in recent days.
Gomez is also being followed by Real Sociedad and inquiries have been carried out by some other Spanish clubs.
Over the course of the past season, Gomez made only 15 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s team and is eager to look for more playing time elsewhere.
Roma are on the hunt for a substitute to rotate with Angeliño after having bought out the former Leipzig player for €5 million.
Gomez seems to be a viable solution for Roma: the Spaniard earns €1.6 million.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma have filed an inquiry, contacting City and the player’s agent.
Now, the Giallorossi are waiting for a response from City and then from the player himself.
