RomaPress – Roma executive Tiago Pinto held several meetings today at the Westin Palace Hotel in Milano, continuing his work on the Giallorossi’s summer transfer market.
One of those meetings included a summit with Milan executives Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to discuss fullback Alessandro Florenzi.
The former Roma captain wants to extend his stay with the Rossoneri after he joined the club on loan from the Giallorossi last season.
Milan acquired Florenzi late in the summer on an initial loan but had the option to make the deal permanent for a fee of €4.5 million. However, the Scudetto-winners don’t want to pay this amount and are requesting a discount from Roma.
Despite today’s meeting, the two clubs still haven’t reached a definitive agreement, though, they are getting closer with the fee expected to be €2.5 million.
The capital club want to finalise the sale of Florenzi as soon as possible. The Italian’s departure would free the space needed to complete the acquisition of Lille’s Zeki Çelik.
