Loïc Badé is the new name linked with Roma as the Giallorossi continue their search for an additional defender.

The French centreback has in fact emerged as a strong candidate to reinforce Daniele De Rossi’s squad ahead of next season.

With the transfer deadline fast approaching, Roma want to secure one additional centreback who could rotate with Evan Ndicka and Gianluca Mancini.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma are ready open talks with Sevilla for Badé.

However, first, the Giallorossi must address the position of Chris Smalling at the club: the Englishman is still without any offers and so far has failed to give the team any guarantees from a physical point of view.

Smalling’s exit would enable Roma’s pursuit of Badé, reports the newspaper.
