Roma are eyeing Empoli goal-keeper Guglielmo Vicario for the summer.
The latest reports in Italy claim that the Giallorossi are planning to bring in the Italian shot-stopper to replace Rui Patricio.
According to Il Messaggero, General Manager Tiago Pinto wants to keep Patricio for another year with Vicario acting as his back-up, eventually taking over from the veteran Portuguese international in the season 24/25.
The newspaper also claims that Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi is an alternative to Vicario, although the youngster – who is currently on loan at Cremonese – has a contract with the Bergamaschi until 2026, making it virtually impossible for any team to go near him at the moment.
