Il Corriere dello Sport – There will indeed be a transfer market at Roma. The club is willing to please Spalletti and to maintain a competitive squad and, if possible, to improve the team even if in January Salah will be missed for a maximum period of five, six matches. For the attack, the favorite remains Defrel. The directors of the two clubs have met in recent days because there several pieces of business to discuss. But the Emilian club is not convinced of surrendering one of its best players while it also has placed a figure of €15 million in Defrel, a figure that Roma can not easily reach. Further talks, though, were postponed to December, when Sassuolo will know if it will continue its journey in the Europa League. Based on this, the club may decide to redesign the roster and, in this case, make an excellent sale and “plusvalenza”. There may be few difficulties in acquiring Memphis Depay, who is near the exit at United. Mourinho prefers not to see him to a Premier League club, giving Roma a significant advanatage over Everton.

For the midfield, Roma may also look at another Dutchman: Riechedly Bazoer, 20, midfielder of Ajax and is finding less space within the team. He fits a profile loved by many at Roma and they may attempt to bring him in January because the youngster wants to play more. Ajax requests €15 million for the player, still a high figure. In September, Sabatini had spoken to the Dutch club for the player and talks continued until he resigned: the closing of any transfer is now in the hands of Bazoer.

In January, there could be important offers arriving for guys like Rüdiger or Manolas. If a great offer arrives, it may be accepted. Meanwhile, Gerson will remain despite Empoli making several requests and attempts to pry him away from Roma on loan.
