Roma want to start from scratch: several of the ‘senatori’ could leave this summer

At 17.00 on Monday, there was a meeting between CEO Guido Fienga and Daniele De Rossi, wherein the midfielder was notified that the club would not be renewing his contract. De Rossi wanted to immediately have a press conference to discuss the situation even though Roma advised him to wait a week. Nevertheless, the motivation is simple: Roma want to start to scratch, according to La Repubblica. Reportedly, the Giallorossi are eyeing Gian Piero Gasperini as the new manager and want to revolutionise the squad and start over, meaning several of the team’s ‘senatori’ could leave this summer, and it has started with De Rossi.
