The Armenian joined the capital club during the final hours of the transfer window on a straight loan deal from Arsenal. Now, Sky Sport reports that Roma is eager to make the former Dortmund man’s move a permanent one.
While it’s certain that the Gunners will ask for a substantial fee for the 31 year-old – a reported €20 million – Roma will try and take advantage of their strong relationship with Mino Raiola, Mkhitaryan’s agent.
Roma boss Paulo Fonseca had made it clear he wants the attacker to remain in the Italian capital beyond the expiration of his loan in June and the club will try to exploit their positive relations with the Italian super agent.
