Roma continue being linked with Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi as the primary reinforcement for Jose Mourinho’s midfield in January.

The deal for the 22-year-old is complicated despite the 30% sell-on clause Roma hold in the matter. Sassuolo are in a difficult position in the table and do not intend to given in too easily to Roma’s potential proposals.

The capital club, however, will try and formulate a convincing offer in January, reports Corriere dello Sport. The Giallorossi are now considering the addition of either Edoardo Bove or Cristian Volpato or Benjamin Tahirovic in an eventual package deal for Frattesi.

Bove is expected to leave the capital in search of more playing time and Sassuolo could represent a valid solution.
